Update

Chamomile (our beautiful Chinchilla doe) is due any day now, I am sticking in her nest box this afternoon, and crossing my fingers that we will get some more babies! On another note, Peppermint's babies are still doing great! I will post pictures of them tomorrow or Friday when they hit the 2 week mark!

At long last, we have babies!

Peppermint gave birth to three fat pink babies! I am SO excited about them! Our Christmas litters that we had planned all ended up being false pregnancies :( I am really hoping we get a blue eyed white in this litter! Pictures to come soon!

Chamomile!

We have decided to call our newest bunny Chamomile, or "Cami" for short (which is what her former owner called her) She is the sweetest bunny EVER! Not only is she beautiful in build and coloring, but she has the most mellow, sweet disposition. In this short time that we have had her, she has snuggled right in to our hearts! :)

No more Lionheads!

Our Momma Lionhead Nutmeg went to her new home, as did the last of her litter! We were sad to see them go, but happy they will be in good homes :) Now I am down to ALL purebred pedigreed Hollands!!! They are simply gorgeous and all so unique! We got our newest member a few days ago, and just love her already! She is a beautiful chinchilla color and from great lines! We are excited to see what she throws! I will post pictures of her and some recent pictures of our beautiful herd very soon!

Nutmeg's Litter 1 week Old!

Here are the babies of our first purebred Lionhead litter! They are all so chubby and cute! There is one blue/black, one double-maned chestnut agouti, and one broken black. Sadly, we did lose one :( the fourth was a peanut and didn't make it through the first week. But the other babies are thriving!

Lionhead Litter!

We have our first purebred lionhead litter! On Sunday Nutmeg gave birth to four beautiful babies! Their colors are already so distinct! I will post pictures at the end of them at the end of the week. I am a little worried about one of them...he seems on the skinny side, so we will have to keep a close eye on that one.

Updates!

Clove was a no show for babies, she didn't even pull fur this time. We re-bred her to Mace yesterday so we can only hope babies will work out this next time. She will be due around Columbus Day! Nutmeg (our only lionhead) is due any day now! I will post pictures as soon as the litter comes. This will be our first purebred Lionhead litter!

Waiting....

Clove is due on Friday, we will be putting in her nest box tomorrow. We are pretty skeptical that we will get any babies though :( Clove hasn't been at maximum health this month and with her poor history of litters thus far, we are just not expecting any to make it. On another note we have 2 new additions to our herd, Marshmallow and Rosemary (pictures soon!) Also, Nutmeg our Lionhead will be due around labor day, this will be a purebred Lionhead litter (She was bred to a friend's broken black Lionhead named Speckles) I will be updating on the upcoming litters!

Almost all gone!

Our cute little babies are six weeks old today, and headed off to their new homes (aside from the little tort)! I will miss having those little cuties to play with. Thankfully I don't have to wait too long though, our black bunny Clove is expecting and is due the last week in August. Since I don't have cute baby bunny pics to post today, I thought I would post pics of our big bunnies :) Meet Mace! Our purebred and pedigreed broken orange buck! He is the world's greatest pet and stud (he was the father of this last litter)
Meet Peppermint- She is our beautiful Blue Eyed White, and mother of the last litter. Although she is a bit of a diva, she is an EXCELLENT mother.
Meet Clove- Clove definitely has a special spot in my heart. She is the calmest, sweetest bunny and loves people. So far she hasn't had success with her litters (we have our fingers crossed though). She is a purebred Holland Lop even though her ears say otherwise (they airplane a bit)
Meet Thistle- Thistle is our Vienna Marked Black Tort. Since he is still a teenager, we haven't bred him yet. He sure is a friendly little guy! We hope to get some blue eyed whites from he and Peppermint in the future!

A Little Over 4 weeks!

These little cuties are getting so big! Here are some little snippets about each one: The little tort is MALE! He is the tiniest and snuggliest of them all. He is also a cute little "Momma's Boy", he always like to cuddle with her.
The Vienna Marked broken fawn is a FEMALE! She is HUGE, she is far and away the chubbiest of them all, extremely active and playful! She always runs to the front of the cage when you come to the door! (sorry the pictures aren't so great this week)
We have two FEMALE solid fawns. The first picture is the smaller one. She is more docile. She really, really likes to be held by people. The larger one loves to run and eat. If she isn't eating...she's running :)
The solid orange is MALE. I actually couldn't get a good picture of him this week. So I will post two next time. This little guy is the most active of them all. if you let him, he would just run laps around the room all day. He also likes to give bunny kisses (super cute!) All of the babies are healthy, happy, and love to be played with!

3.5 weeks and thriving!

All five little ones are doing beautifully! We are pretty sure on their colors, less sure on genders as the babies are still very small :). Color wise, we have: 1 broken orange VM, 2 solid orange, 1 black Tort, 1 fawn. I love this stage because they are all very busy, their ears are starting to flop, and they are downright adorable!!!

These babies are getting cuter all the time! And their colors are going to be fairly distinct! This picture was taken at exactly 1 week!
